There are two times in my life in which I will bake... when things are going well and I'm happy and need something celebratory, or... well, times like right now. I have some almond butterscotch cookies in the oven. I just need cookies today.

Boyfriend is being stubborn about going back to the doctor tomorrow like they asked him to, and if you ask me that is one of the most selfish things a person can do. He doesn't feel like they want to help him, they only want his money... they don't know what's wrong so it must not be anything important if they don't even know what it is. This is infuriating and led to a 40 minute sob-fest on my part, trying to convince him that he needs to go back so that they can figure out what is wrong and THAT is why they told him to come back, not because they're greedy. I just don't know what I'm going to do as far as all this is concerned. I know I can't convince him to go back if he doesn't want to - I'll fight him tooth and nail about it and give it all I've got to convince him but I know all that won't make a lick of difference if he's got it in his head that he's not going back. That man is so pig-headed sometimes... if I weren't scared to death of losing him I would not argue with him about it. But I AM scared of losing him, and of losing all the dreams we share, all the things I want to do and have with him in the future...

But anyway. I can't dwell on that right now, it's making me tear up again and I'm tired of crying right now. I've done too much of that this past year, with all the constant crap-storms.

In an effort to keep myself occupied I started another twitter account which for the time being is public, but I'm not sure how long I'll keep it that way; depends on the kind of people that start following me I guess. It may wind up being a private account too. We'll see. I also entered a nail polish contest, which ends at 3 PM Pacific today so I will know in a couple more hours if I've won or not. The contest is being held by China Glaze (one of my favorites!) and it's simply to share a picture of your manicure using a China Glaze nail polish. (The contest is being held on Facebook and you must be a fan of China Glaze to participate.) The prize is the new 4-color holiday set "China Glaze Loves You Snow Much"... which I want in a very bad way. They are picking 4 winners so I have my fingers crossed I am one of them! Of course, if I win... that means there will be a contest on my nail blog. Why? One of the colors in the prize set is Ruby Pumps - which I already have. True, I could keep it as a back-up... but... it's more fun to give something away don't you think?

Anywho, it's time to get the first batch of cookies off the cookie sheet and get the second batch in the oven. I'll share a picture of the cookies & the recipe later. Yeah I know, lot of posts for one day. Humor me, I need to stay busy or I'm going to have a major meltdown; I'm not sure if I am preventing that entirely or just postponing the inevitable by staying super busy but...
